Join us for a week of action filled photography in one of the most beautiful places in the country. By the beginning of November, the crowds in the Great Smoky Mountains will have subsided a little bit, but the wildlife will still be there in full force. Much of the fall color will be around and lower elevations will be at their peak. We’ll spend much of our time with the numerous Whitetail Deer who will sparring for dominance across the lush landscape. We’ll also explore picturesque waterfalls that flow from the mountain streams. We can expect some spectacular fog-covered mountains and leaves in splendid hues of yellow, red, and orange. We may also spend some time with various macro subjects in the rich forests. Black Bears, songbirds, and late flowers are all possibilities.
Itinerary
Weather conditions will determine the focus of each day’s shoots, but we will have at least two photo shoots each day – one in the early morning and one in the afternoon. The deer and landscapes will be the primary focus most days, but we will also focus on the other subject matter on a few of the shoots. Classes will be offered every day on a variety of subjects including: composition, light, wildlife, flash-use, macro technique, post-processing, and HDR imagery.
